Eagles linebacker Nigel Bradham has accepted a deferred prosecution deal on a felony battery charge in Miami, Fla., ESPN reported Monday, citing court documents.
Bradham's case will be diverted out of court, the network reported, and he could avoid jail time if he meets the terms of the agreement.
The 27-year-old linebacker was scheduled to appear in a Miami-Dade County courthouse on Monday on charges stemming from an incident in which he allegedly assaulted a hotel employee.
The altercation occurred on July 25, 2016, when Bradham and friends took exception with how long the employee - Jean Eliphete Courtois, 50 - took to bring the group a beach umbrella, according to the police report.
