The Eagles will have the No. 8 overall pick in next month's draft.
The trade of cornerback Byron Maxwell and linebacker Kiko Alonso to the Miami Dolphins became official on Wednesday, with they were packaged along with the No. 13 overall pick to acquire the eighth overall pick. So the Eagles sent the Dolphins the two high-profile acquisitions from last offseason to move up five picks in the first round.
A swap of draft picks was also the compensation in the DeMarco Murray deal. The Eagles sent Murray and their fourth-round selection to the Tennessee Titans for the Titans' fourth-round pick, which is the second pick in the round.
