The Eagles signed Jason Peters to a one-year extension Wednesday that keeps him under contract through the 2019 season. The contract came one day after Peters said he wanted assurances that he could retire as an Eagle, so this deal would likely allow Peters to play in Philadelphia beyond this season if he wanted.
Terms of the deal were not yet available.
“I want to retire here,” Peters said Tuesday after the first day of mandatory minicamp. “I don’t want to be year-to-year, [wondering] if they’re going to release me or are they going to do this, taking pay cuts and all that.
