Eagles lack talent on line to make offense go

A year ago, Chip Kelly said culture beat scheme. He was asked later if he thought a team's culture was more important than talent.

"I don't know," the Eagles coach said then. "That wasn't the conversation I had."

If he wasn't willing to say it then, it's likely Kelly would say it now: Talent trumps everything else in the NFL. And he might even begrudgingly admit - in private, nestled inside his sports science lab - that scheme beats culture.

He won't say it in public, but he has to know that the lack of talent on the offensive line is killing his run schemes, and his vanilla run schemes aren't doing his substandard linemen any favors.
