Eagles: JaCorey Shepherd Tears ACL, Out for Season

After JaCorey Shepherd left practice early yesterday with a leg injury, it was announced this morning after an MRI that he has torn his ACL in his right knee. He will miss the entire 2015 season due to the injury.

The Philadelphia Eagles made the announcement this morning. Shepherd had been getting most of the first-team reps at the nickel cornerback position during training camp.

Shepherd was a rookie this year after the Eagles selected him in the sixth round of the 2015 draft out of Kansas. He was supposed to be the replacement for Brandon Boykin, who the Eagles traded just before the start of training camp to the Steelers.
