IT SHOULD BE comforting to G.J. Kinne that he is still here and has a chance to stick around for a third season. There is nothing Chip Kelly likes more than a weapon he can use in more than one way, and Kinne, a practice squad quarterback the past two years, is now a wide receiver, who also takes reps with the running backs.
And maybe most crucially, Kinne still has a year of practice squad eligibility, as he gets his new-position feet under him.
But viewed another way, this training camp has to be terrifying. Yes, Kinne, 6-2, 218, is an exceptional athlete.
