The Philadelphia Eagles signed undrafted rookie free agent cornerback Jamalcolm Liggins (AKA Jay Liggins), according to an official announcement from the team.
It was previously reported that Liggins would be signing with Philly but he wasn’t among the 10 UDFA players the Eagles officially signed on Thursday evening.
Liggins has his work cut out for him when it comes to trying to win a spot on the roster or even the practice squad. He played college football for Dickinson State, which is an NAIA school.
Sports Illustrated had a write up on Liggins leading up to the 2019 NFL Draft:
Liggins said the Blue Hawks played a base 4-3 defense, and he was typically matched up on the opponent’s best wideout.
