FOR ALL of Chip Kelly's new-agey, sports-sciencey ways, when he talks about injuries, Kelly can sound like an old-school football coach.
Yesterday was one of those times. Kelly was asked about Earl Wolff, the third-year Eagles safety who has battled a knee problem since the middle of his rookie season. Wolff underwent surgery - he said it was a microfracture procedure - in November, when it became obvious he had no confidence in his right knee. For the past two offseasons, Wolff has been considered a contender to start opposite Malcolm Jenkins, but he hasn't been able to seize the opportunity.
