Eagles Cuts 2015: Chris Prosinski released by Philadelphia

Here's a slight surprise.

The Philadelphia Eagles have released veteran safety Chris Prosinski, according to a report from Eliot Shorr-Parks of NJ.com.

This is one of the most surprising cuts the Eagles have reportedly made so far. Prosinski wasn't necessarily a lock to make the team, but I figured he was close to being one. Here's what I wrote about him recently:

"I'd argue Chris Prosinski should be a lock because he can also contribute on special teams. Prosinski also has starting experience with the Jaguars (although he didn't look great there), and he's had a quietly good training camp.
