DECLARING the Eagles "out of the X-play business" was easier said than done, first-year defensive backfield coach Cory Undlin discovered Monday night in Atlanta.
"Is that the way we pictured it? No. But it is what it is now. Nothing I can do about it. Nothing the players can do about. So we watched the tape, we talked about what we need to get better at, and we came out and practiced to get better at it," Undlin said Thursday, after his group allowed five 20-plus-yard completions against the Falcons.
Last year, the Eagles led the NFL with 72 X-plays surrendered.
