Although it’s no longer “Tebow Time” in the City of Brotherly Love, the Philadelphia Eagles have found their third quarterback…for now. The Eagles claimed former Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Stephen Morris off waivers. Here’s the official tweet from the team:
While Morris may not be the name everyone was looking for the team to add, there were much more popular picks available such as former St. Louis Rams quarterback Austin Davis. But Morris is one of the better “developmental” options on the open market. Although some may hate the idea of a young, inexperienced quarterback as the only option behind injury prone quarterbacks Sam Bradford and Mark Sanchez, it does make some sense.
