According to the Philadelphia Eagles Twitter account, the Eagles were awarded quarterback Stephen Morris off waivers.
Morris was cut by the Jaguars on Saturday and a day after the Eagles released Tim Tebow, Philadelphia adds a player that the team feels has a higher potential to develop.
He spent his rookie season on the Jags' practice squad and he will serve as the third quarterback behind starter Sam Bradford and Mark Sanchez.
