The Eagles claimed cornerback Alex Brown off waivers, according to an official announcement from the team. Philadelphia’s roster is now full at the 90-player offseason limit.
Brown was waived by the 49ers earlier this week. He originally signed with San Francisco as an undrafted free agent back in May after having a successful tryout during the team’s rookie minicamp.
The 5-11, 170 pound Brown played college ball at South Carolina State. He logged 90 tackles, 26 passes defended, seven interceptions, and one sack over 31 games played.
Explosive, fast athlete with the size of a nickel cornerback but lacking the play traits for a smooth transition inside.
