Despite not playing a down this whole preseason, the Philadelphia Eagles thought it was time to extend the contract of Mychal Kendricks. According to a report by NFL Media’s Albert Breer, the Eagles and Kendricks agreed to a four-year, $29 million contract Monday, with $16.4 million guaranteed.
The deal also has a maximum of value of $31.5 million after incentives. It makes Kendricks one of the highest paid inside linebackers in the league.
There was question that he would even be on the roster at the beginning of the season after some trade rumors this offseason.
