The Eagles agreed Tuesday to a four-year deal with cornerback JaCorey Shepherd, the first of the team's two sixth-round picks in this month's draft.
Shepherd becomes the fifth of the team's six draft picks to reach a deal. Linebacker Jordan Hicks is the Eagles' only unsigned rookie.
Shepherd, 22, was a converted wide receiver at Kansas who started 26 games at cornerback for the Jayhawks. He finished his career with five interceptions and 37 passes defended. Shepherd also averaged 21 yards per kickoff return over three seasons.
He lasted until the sixth round in part because of a poor 40-yard dash time that was hindered by a torn hamstring.
