The Philadelphia Eagles finally received some good news on Tuesday. Starting defensive tackle Tim Jernigan has been officially cleared to be activated from the reserve/non-football injury list.
In order to make room for Jernigan on the Eagles’ 53-man roster, the team waived backup defensive tackle T.Y. McGill. McGill originally joined the team on November 6. He’s the player the Eagles signed after cutting fan favorite DeAndre Carter.
Getting Jernigan back figures to give the Eagles’ interior defensive line a much-needed boost, assuming he’s still the same player he was before suffering a herniated disc in the offseason.
