It seems like we say this every week, but it seems as though it will be one of the themes of this week’s game as well. The Philadelphia Eagles have to win this week. The already-dwindling hopes of a die-hard fan base are hanging on to their slim hopes, and what happens on Sunday versus the New York Giants will go a long way in determining whether or not that hope grows or continues to die.
Believe it or not, the Eagles could be in first place if they win on Sunday, if the Dallas Cowboys lose to the New Orleans Saints in their upcoming Thursday night tilt, and if Philly follows both of those very realistic scenarios with a Monday night victory over the hated Washington Redskins.
