Drew Pearson knew how to handle a hostile audience. The former Dallas receiver was at Friday’s draft in Philadelphia to introduce the Cowboys second round pick.
Just the mention of Dallas Cowboys generated the expected loud boos when Pearson was introduced by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell.
Pearson reveled in the crowd’s dissatisfaction and went right after the audience in a good-natured way.
“How about them Cowboys?” he started off with a line that just raised the decibel level of the boos of the fans at the Art Museum. “ I want to thank the Eagles fans for allowing me to have a career in the NFL.
