Super Bowl winning Philadelphia Eagles coach Doug Pederson made an appearance at the Phillies’ home opener at Citizens Bank Park on Thursday afternoon.
First he showed up and hoisted the Vince Lombardi Trophy for everyone to see. Power move.
(As you can see, Eagles team president Don Smolenski and Eagles executive vice president of football operations Howie Roseman were also with him.)
Pederson took off his jacket to reveal a Roy Halladay jersey. Halladay, as you recall, tragically passed away in a plane crash last November. Then he walked to the pitcher’s mound and delivered a strike over home plate, no big deal to him.
