Former Philadelphia Eagles running back Donnel Pumphrey has found a new NFL home. The Detroit Lions are signing Pumphrey to their PRACTICE SQUAD, according to NFL insiders Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo. ESPN was first to report that Pumphrey was working out with the Lions on Monday.
Pumphrey, 23, was waived by the Eagles on Saturday as Philadelphia trimmed their roster down to 53 players.
Pump was showing some signs of improvement during offseason practices earlier this year. Nothing incredible, but he seemed to be moving in the direction.
