The Philadelphia Eagles brought veteran free agent running back Devonta Freeman in for a visit over the weekend but he left town without a contract. He’s now headed to meet with the New York Giants, according to NFL Network.
The Giants suddenly find themselves in need of running back help with Saquon Barkley feared to have suffered an ACL tear during New York’s Week 2 loss to the Chicago Bears. Dion Lewis and Wayne Gallman are the only other running backs on their roster.
