If the Philadelphia Eagles are going to pick up their first win of the season on Sunday, they are going to do it without their starting running back.
DeMarco Murray has officially been declared inactive for Philly’s game against the New York Jets. While Murray was limited in practice all week with a hamstring injury, all reports indicated he was good to go. He may have suffered some sort of setback on Saturday or in warmups before Sunday’s game.
Ryan Mathews will be the Eagles’ lead back against New York, with Darren Sproles possibly getting more touches than usual in addition to his passing down duties.
