When the Philadelphia Eagles selected Brandon Graham with the 13th pick in the 2010 NFL Draft, it actually was a bit of a surprise. The Eagles actually traded up that year. For many, the belief was that they had done so to take safety Earl Thomas to fill a huge void that had remained since future hall-of-famer Brian Dawkins left the team in 2008.
Maybe the move shouldn’t have been a surprise. Former head coach Andy Reid had routinely taken an offensive lineman or a defensive lineman in the draft.
