Dawkins, of course, played for the Eagles for 13 seasons and ended his career as perhaps the most admired athlete in Philadelphia sports history. Weapon X was an eight-time Pro-Bowl selection and the leader of an Eagles defense that appeared in four straight NFC Championship games from 2002-2005. He ended his Eagles career as the franchise's all-time leader in games played (183) and tied for the franchise lead with 34 interceptions.
Dawkins helped revolutionize the safety position, and in 2012, he was inducted into the Eagles Hall of Fame. He is one of just nine players in franchise history to have his number retired.
