Darius Slay is taking advantage of the NFL loosening their jersey number restrictions. The Philadelphia Eagles cornerback will no longer be wearing No. 24 and instead will be sporting the No. 2 jersey moving forward.
John Clark reports Slay confirmed as much to him. Cody Benjamin was first to note on Friday evening that NFL Shop was selling No. 2 Slay jerseys.
Slay previously expressed his interest in switching to No. 2 on Twitter. Miles Sanders also had an interest in that number but the veteran clearly won out.
