New York Giants defensive end Damontre Moore cost his team seven points with an ill-advised penalty in Monday night’s game against the Eagles.
With the Giants leading 7-0 in the first quarter, it looked as if the defense was going to get off the field again with a stop on third-and-10. Bradford found Sproles for a three-yard gain, and it looked as if the Eagles would be forced to punt.
But the Eagles were bailed out, as Moore put a cheap shot on Bradford toward the end of the play.
Moore grabbed Bradford and slammed him to the ground, and was hit with a roughing the passer penalty which extended the drive.
