The Philadelphia Eagles’ official Twitter handle posted those words shortly before much of the East Coast broke for lunch on Monday. Beneath the phrase sat a photo of Smith, smile stretching from one ear to the other, as he put pen to paper on his rookie deal.
The self-proclaimed ‘sponge’ can now focus on getting to work. The business aspect of bringing him into the fold has been taken care of. Now comes the fun stuff, proving that those concerns about whether or not it was wise to take all of those Georgia Bulldogs was a wise decision.
