Near the end of the half in Sunday’s game against the Saints, someone on the Eagles bench was penalized 15 yards for unsportsmanlike conduct, nearly putting the team out of field-goal range at a critical time.
During his postgame press conference, Chip Kelly acknowledged the penalty was on him, saying only that he did something “you’re not allowed to do, because you get a penalty for (it).”
During a conversation with Sportsradio 94.1 WIP’s Angelo Cataldi on Monday morning, Kelly elaborated on the oddly timed penalty, which occurred after a Drew Brees fumble late in the second quarter.
