A day after it was learned that the Philadelphia Eagles removed any mention of the Redskins name from the team’s weekly media guide ahead of Sunday’s showdown between the NFC East rivals, head coach Chip Kelly avoided using the Washington NFL team’s moniker and then spoke cryptically about his personal opinion on the controversial subject.
“I have a lot of personal beliefs on things,” Chip Kelly said Thursday with a smile following a lengthy pause, reports NJ Advanced Media’s Matt Lombardo, who originally broke the media guide story in a tweet. “But my belief doesn’t effect what that name is.
