Seeing successful people take time out of their schedule to help someone else out will never get old. Ladies and gentlemen, the Philadelphia Eagles have given their fans yet another reason to love them. This time, they didn’t put on football helmets. Some of them actually strapped on bicycle helmets as they participated in a one-day bike ride and family-friendly 5K run/walk.
The cause? This was the inaugural Eagles autism challenge, spearheaded by the team’s Chairman and CEO Jeffrey Lurie. The intent is to to assist in making generational advances in research and awareness and to, eventually, defeat an affliction that impacts one in every 15 children.
