Defensive end Cedric Thornton remains in the NFC East after the unrestricted free agent agreed to terms with the Dallas Cowboys on a four-year deal Thursday.
A rookie free agent signing of the Eagles in 2011 out of Southern Arkansas, Thornton started in 45 of his 61 career regular season games, notching 233 tackles, 10 tackles for loss and four sacks.
He became a full-time starter in his third year with the Eagles as the team transitioned to a 3-4 base front in 2013.
