The Philadelphia Eagles wanted to bring in a cornerback who could set the tone for their defensive secondary and Byron Maxwell has been everything as advertised.
As the team's top free agent signing this offseason, he is the start of rebuilding what was a broken secondary in 2014, and Maxwell has a pedigree to fill that role.
As a member of the vaunted Seahawks defensive backfield, Maxwell will be looked upon as the leader of the new bunch, while learning his own role in the unit.
"Just the mindset that he brings here being from Seattle," cornerback Nolan Carroll said, via Philly.
