The Philadelphia Eagles top free agent signing this offseason was meant to be the start of rebuilding what was a broken secondary in 2014, and cornerback Byron Maxwell has a pedigree to fill that role.
As a member of the vaunted Seahawks defensive backfield, Maxwell will be looked upon as the leader of the new bunch, while learning his own role in the unit.
According to Phil Sheridan of ESPN, Maxwell will become the focus in the Eagles secondary after committing $63 million to bring him to Philadelphia.
