On the Eagles' opening drive, quarterback Carson Wentz submitted an early candidate for the play of the day.
On third-and-12 at the Philadelphia 42, Wentz danced in the pocket, dodging back-to-back sack attempts, and while off-balanced, threw a beautiful pass to find wide receiver Nelson Agholor along the left sideline for a 58-yard catch-and-run touchdown. Agholor shook cornerback Redskins safety D.J. Swearinger on his way to the end zone to give the Eagles the early 7-0 lead.
