TAMPA — The Eagles often seemed to find a way last season, no matter who was injured or how dire the circumstances. This is not last season, and the Eagles were faced with that humbling reality in a 27-21 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday at Raymond James Stadium.
Although they entered the game as home underdogs, Tampa Bay used a big-play offense and the Eagles were left without enough offensive firepower to match. The Eagles played without Carson Wentz, Alshon Jeffery and Darren Sproles. Jason Peters left the game in the first quarter with a quadriceps injury.
