The Eagles avoided playing the sort of game many warned they could not win Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field. They prevented quarterback Matt Ryan from throwing the football all over the field and the league's top-scoring team from putting up more than 30 points for the seventh time this season.
Their reward was a 24-15 victory over the Atlanta Falcons that kept the Eagles unbeaten at home and very much alive in the NFC playoff race.
Once again coach Doug Pederson was presented with some difficult either-or decisions, including what to do just before the two-minute warning with the Eagles up by six points and facing a fourth and 1 from the Atlanta 31.
