Brian Schottenheimer, not Kellen Moore, is the Cowboys’ new head coach

The Dallas Cowboys have their Mike McCarthy replacement: Brian Schottenheimer is their new head coach.

Or ... maybe he’s no longer going by his first name?

Cowboys are hiring offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer as their new head coach, Jerrry Jones tells ESPN.

“Brian Schottenheimer is known as a career assistant,” Jones said. “He ain’t Brian no more. He is now known as the head coach of the Dallas Cowboys.” pic.twitter.com/JtGoltP1mC— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) January 25, 2025

“The head coach of the Dallas Cowboys Schottenheimer.”

Unlike the Cowboys since the mid-1990s, that really has a ring to it!
