Brian Dawkins likes quality of Doug Pederson's staff, physical practices; wonders about game days

Doug Pederson was Brian Dawkins’ teammate in 1999. When Pederson returned to Philadelphia as an assistant coach in 2009, Dawkins had already moved on to Denver. But Dawkins was in his first Pro Bowl season and emerging as a key player when he watched Pederson open the 1999 season as the Eagles’ starting quarterback before giving way to Donovan McNabb, and he knows enough about Pederson to evaluate what his former teammate will do coaching the organization Dawkins cherishes.

“I think the one thing you also see is the quality of the coaches he brought – guys who’ve been in the league, who’ve done it before,” Dawkins said.
