Former Philadelphia Eagles tight end Brent Celek‘s legacy won’t be defined by a ton of touchdowns. It wasn’t a career that would ensure his enshrinement into Canton, Ohio’s Pro Football Hall of Fame. None of that will matter to any Eagles fan however. He wasn’t picked up in free agency. He wasn’t part of some blockbuster trade. Celek was drafted 162nd overall by the Eagles, and his run there went on for 11 seasons.
Celek was special because he embodied everything the Eagles were all about. He caught touchdown passes from Michael Vick (10), Donovan McNabb (11, including the three in the postseason), Nick Foles (5), Kevin Kolb (3), Sam Bradford (2), Mark Sanchez (2), and Carson Wentz (1).
