Brady ruling opens the door to players' finding new ways to cheat

THIS IS NOT about whether you believe New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is guilty in "Deflategate."

Let the record show, I think Brady is, despite a federal judge's erasing the four-game suspension Roger Goodell smacked down on Brady because the NFL commissioner believed the evidence against the future Hall of Fame quarterback.

Even if I did not, I wonder why U.S. District Judge Richard M. Berman made such a narrow interpretation of the collective bargaining agreement between the NFL and the NFL Players Association yesterday.

I am not a lawyer. I do not play one on television, and I did not even stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.
