Sam Bradford entered the preseason enthused by a clean bill of health with full clearance for the entire exhibition schedule. Bradford started the first game of the preseason for the first time since 2013, and he stayed in for a grand total of three plays.
The quick hook in last Thursday's game was the result of the Eagles offense benefiting from a short field and scoring quickly. But it gave Bradford only one pass and two handoffs to celebrate.
Bradford will play more Thursday night when the Eagles play the Pittsburgh Steelers. Coach Doug Pederson said Bradford and the first-team offense would stay on the field through the first quarter and maybe even the second quarter.
