Bowen: Clemson's Mike Williams focused on other skills besides his 40 time

INDIANAPOLIS - Mike Williams might have never met an opponent he didn't feel he could dominate, but the 40-yard dash has knocked Williams a bit offstride.

Williams is the Clemson wide receiver you last saw helping the Tigers upset Alabama in the national championship game, snagging eight catches for 94 yards and a touchdown. Many observers consider him the best of a strong group of first-round receivers in this NFL draft, a solid top-10 pick. He has even been compared to "Megatron," Calvin Johnson, the former Detroit Lions star.

That's not an easy comparison to measure up to, literally - Johnson was 6-5, 239 pounds, at the 2007 NFL Scouting Combine, while Williams clocked in at 6-35/8, 218 here this week.
