The Eagles offense was unstoppable heading into the second quarter against the Ravens, leading 14-0.
The offense picked up right where they left off on their first drive of the second quarter. Quarterback Mark Sanchez methodically drove the Eagles down the field, hitting tight end Trey Burton on a pair of passes over the middle. Three Baltimore penalties helped the Eagles drive into Ravens territory, and a 20-yard pass from Sanchez to Nelson Agholor brought the Eagles to Ravens' five-yard line.
Jordan Matthews caught a short pass by Sanchez in the end zone for a would-be touchddown, but that was nullified by a penalty on the Eagles for offensive holding.
