The Eagles' season, only in its second week, teetered on the brink of disaster at the end of Sunday's first half against the Dallas Cowboys.
The Eagles talked all week about getting their running game going. They finished the first half, down 6-0, with one rushing yard on six carries. One. Yard.
Chip Kelly's offense isn't going to work without a running game, since that is what it is based on. The Eagles seem to have made a terrible miscalculation on releasing guards Todd Herremans and Evan Mathis, and 33-year-old left tackle Jason Peters, frankly, has not looked dominant through 1 1/2 halves this season.
