EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- As is typical for the fourth preseason game, the Eagles rested most of their starters in Thursday night’s preseason finale against the Jets. However, two players who should make a big impact this season did suit up and play.
Kiko Alonso made his preseason debut for the Eagles in Thursday night's 24-18 defeat, playing one defensive series. Alonso tallied two tackles. It was good work for Alonso, who was playing in his first live action since the end of the 2013 season with Buffalo.
“It was a chance to get the rust off, that’s all it was,” said defensive coordinator Bill Davis.
