Alex Singleton is now officially under contract for the 2021 NFL season. The Philadelphia Eagles linebacker signed his exclusive-rights free agent tender on Thursday afternoon.
The Eagles originally tendered Singleton — in addition to Greg Ward and Boston Scott — earlier this month. This left him with two options:
1) Sign the one-year tender worth $850,000.
or
2) Stop playing in the NFL.
Pretty obvious choice for the 27-year-old, who currently figures to be a starter for the Eagles this season.
Singleton will be a restricted free agent after 2021.
