In the end, Chip Kelly stayed true to his board. No theatrics. No massive move up the first round of the draft. Just a move to select USC wide receiver Nelson Agholor, who Kelly said is "a great fit for what we're doing."
A remarkably productive receiver at USC -- Agholor caught 179 passes and scored 20 touchdowns in three seasons -- he was expected to be one of the top receivers taken in the deep class. The Eagles worked him out twice at USC and Agholor visited the NovaCare Complex. They loved his makeup on and off the field and they wanted his versatility as an inside/outside wide receiver and a return man.
