If you’re a Philadelphia Eagles fan, you’ve been schooled over and over again on the salary cap situation, how many players the ‘Birds have at the end of their current deals, and the amount of money they have tied up in seemingly bad deals that are less than ideal. Philly’s season is over now, and at no point during the campaign did the Eagles give Malcolm Jenkins the extension he’s been looking for.
Add that to the guaranteed salaries for next season (Alshon Jeffery and DeSean Jackson for instance) and the recent extensions that they’ve handed out (Cre’Von LeBlanc, Lane Johnson, Brandon Brooks, Jake Elliott, and, of course, Carson Wentz), and it’s the same old story that it is with every other NFL Franchise.
