Without taking anything away from the guys who have won the trophy, something needs to be said. The Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award could be given to a member of the Philadelphia Eagles every season.

For any fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, it’s commonplace to see the community efforts of so many of the organization’s fixtures, whether it be the work that chairman and CEO Jeffrey Lurie does with his Eagles Autism Challenge, the work former Eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins did in informing people of social injustice, Carson Wentz’s AO1 Foundation, or what Zach Ertz and his wife Julie have done with the Ertz Family Foundation.
