2019 NFL Free Agency: Eagles’ top running back target Tevin Coleman signs elsewhere

This past Monday was a productive start to the week for Howie Roseman and company. The Philadelphia Eagles ended up acquiring veteran defensive tackle, Malik Jackson. Then, they took care of the passing game by trading for Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver DeSean Jackson. Now the Eagles have a glaring hole at the running back position with Darren Sproles and Jay Ajayi available on the Free Agency market as well.

Word around the league was that the Eagles had a substantial amount of interest in former Atlanta Falcons running back, Tevin Coleman. Since he has proved over the last four seasons that he can share a workload, as well be a productive pass-catching back, he fits the mold of the type of player the Eagles were looking for.
